secolo XIV°. Lama triangolare in acciaio a sezione di
losanga, con breve scanalatura nel forte. Elso in acciaio
a bracci appiattiti alle estremità e decorati con croce
traforata. Pomolo in ferro a pera sfaccettato 8 volte e
con scudi a croce in rilievo. Impugnatura in legno
rivestito in pelle. Lunghezza totale cm 108. Peso gr 1400 SWORD. END OF THE 14th CENTURY, EARLY 15th CENTURY. Triangular steel blade of diamond section incorporating a short fuller in the strong of the blade. Steel hilt with flattened arms which are each decorated with a open-work cross. | SPADA SCHIAVONESCA.
Venezia, fine secolo XV°. Le spade più largamente
rappresentate nelle sale del Consiglio dei Dieci al
Palazzo Ducale di Venezia sono tutte di questo tipo, da
una mano e da una mano e mezzo, ma con la stessa foggia
di fornimento. Lunga lama a sezione di esagono,
appiattita sulla punta e con tripla scanalatura sul forte
fino al medio. Pomolo quadrotto rilevato al centro. Elso
a bracci rivolti in senso opposto nel piano normale alla
lama. Impugnatura di legno fasciato di cuoio.Lunghezza
totale cm 127. Peso gr 1800 SCHIAVONESCA
SWORD. Venice, end of the 15th Century. These swords are
largely shown in the rooms of the Council of the X in the
Palazzo Ducale in Venice. They have grips that were used
both with one or two hands. Long blade of hexagonal
section slightly flattened at the point, with three
fullers from the forte up to the middle part of the blade.
Squared pommel with a relief in the centre. Hilt with
curved arms bent in horizontally opposite directions.
Grip of wood wrapped in leather. Length overall 127 cm.

MANO E MEZZA. Venezia, fine secolo XV°. Lunga lama in
acciaio con sguscio al centro. Elso in acciaio curvato a
formare una S. Pomolo squadrato con ingrossamento al
centro. Impugnatura in legno con rilievi, rivestita in
cuoio. Lunghezza totale cm. 120. Peso gr. 1400 HAND AND A HALF - SCHIAVONESCA. Venice, late

"S" shaped quillons. Square pommel, thickened

Venezia, fine secolo XV°. L'elso in acciaio a bracci
incurvati, è completato da guardia e archetti a
protezione della mano. Pomolo tondo in ferro. Impugnatura
in legno rivestito in cuoio. Lama in acciaio, ad un solo
filo. Lunghezza totale cm 109. peso gr. 1480 BACKSWORD. Venice, late Fifteenth Century. Steel hilt with horizontal recurved ends, nuckle guard and ring protections for the hand. Round steel pommel. Wooden grip wrapped with leather. Single edge steel blade. Overall length 109cm. Weight 1480gm. |
SPADA DA FANTE VENETO.
Fine secolo XV°. Lama a sezione di esagono scanalata
fino al medio. Pomolo quadro, lavorato a diamante sulle
due facce. Fornimento in ferro appiattito; dalla crociera
cuspidata escono la guardia e il braccio di parata messi
a giorno, nonchè gli archetti con gli arresti bottonati.
Impugnatura di legno fasciato di pelle. Lunghezza cm 99.

SWORD. End of the 15th Century. Blade of hexagonal
section with a fuller up to the middle part. Squared
pommel with a diamond motif on both faces. Hilt made of
flattened iron. The knucklebow, quillon and pas-d-ane
originate out from the cuspidate quillon block. Wooden
